What To Expect
We know you have many choices when choosing your local family dentist in Piedmont, so thank you for choosing Piedmont Oaks Dental. We are grateful for the opportunity to take great care of you and your smile. To make the most of your first visit, please follow the steps below.
Schedule Your Appointment
The first step is to schedule your appointment by calling us at (510) 654-6523. If for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call our office as soon as possible. Once you’ve scheduled your appointment, take a minute to meet our team so we’re not strangers when you first arrive.
Complete Your Patient Forms
Once you’ve locked in your appointment, our office will send your patient forms via email. Please complete the forms at least 48 hours prior to your appointment so we can get to know you before your visit. The information you provide in your patient forms will prepare our team to provide the best possible care for you. If you’re unable to complete your patient forms before your first appointment please arrive at least 30 minutes early to complete them in our office. We look forward to getting to know you!
Review Insurance & Payment Options
At Piedmont Oaks Dental, we accept most traditional insurance plans. For payment, we accept cash, check, credit card, and CareCredit financing. For your peace of mind, feel free to contact our office ahead of your visit to verify acceptance of your plan and payment options. We also offer an in-house membership plan that you can sign up for if you don’t have current dental coverage.
Choose Your Color ‒ Support Your Cause
At the end of each visit at Piedmont Oaks Dental, when you choose a color for your free, compostable toothbrush, you’re partnering with us and MamaP to support a cause you care about. Based on the color you choose, a small donation is made to the corresponding cause. If you’re a new patient, you’ll also receive a gift bag of goodies, including a bar of soap from Clean 360.

Meet the Team
At Piedmont Oaks Dental
Chris Guerisoli, DDS
Dr. Chris Guerisoli graduated from the esteemed UCSF School of Dentistry and has held leadership positions with the California Dental Association for many years. He regularly participates and facilitates continuing education courses, study groups, and case studies in order to provide the best possible care for his patients. He is passionate about empowering his patients through transparency, education, and compassion. He loves living in Berkeley and can often be found enjoying nature or the baseball field with his kids.
Nelson Wong, DDS
After graduating from Cal, Dr. Nelson Wong received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry. He then went on to complete a year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UCSF, where he refined his skills in all aspects of general dentistry including cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Wong practices evidence-based dentistry and is a strong believer in patient-centered, minimally-invasive dentistry. A Bay Area native but raised in Hong Kong, he enjoys photography, playing basketball and cooking for his family.
Trish graduated from Chabot College in 1970 and has been serving her very loyal patient base at Piedmont Oaks Dental for the better part of that time. Educating her patients about their oral hygiene and leaving them with a sense of empowerment are among her signature services. She is extremely active, enjoying everything from running and hiking to backpacking and climbing.
Alan graduated from San Francisco State University and then the Dental Hygiene program at Chabot College, with honors granted by the Western Society of Periodontology. He continued learning at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry where he received specialized training to provide mobile dental hygiene care to the underserved population. This unique career development has resulted in a one-of-a-kind cleaning experience that patients soon realise they don’t want to live without! Alan lives in Piedmont and enjoys playing soccer with his son and going to the beach with his wife.
